The next challenge is going to be the 8201 meter high Cho Oyu, but the challenge for my part is not primarily to reach the summit. As expedition leader the challenge will be to get as many of my clients to the summit.
You can participate in this expedition if you like. There will be one climbing guide for each to clients participating. I will be one of the guides the others will be experienced climbing sherpas most of which will have summited 8000 metre peaks before and some has even climbed Cho Oyu before. The intention is to provide a high degree of safety measures allthough we cant make climbing an 8000 metre peak a completely safe experience.
Therefore we require some experience from potential Cho Oyu candidates. That experience could be that you have climbed some of the 6000 meter trekking peaks of Nepal like: Imja Tse (Island Peak), Lobuje Peak or Mera Peak. Or it might be that you have been to the summit of Aconcagua which due to its altitude of allmost 7000 meters must be treated as a Himalayan climb. The experience you have must at least encounter great altitude but doesn't have to be from an advanced, difficult climb like Ama Dablam. The difficulties og Cho Oyu mainly arrives from the fact that is more than 8000 meters and that it can be very cold.
You can get in contact with Kipling Travel, the company that arrange this expedition and apply for participation by following this link: Cho Oyu expedition lead by Bo Belvedere Christensen.
I will see forward to leading you to one of the greatest adventures of your life.
| The beautifull peak of Cho Oyu, with its 8201 meters the worlds 6. highest mountain. But it is one of the safest and easiest
