The Danish Everest Expedition in 2000 sponsored by Thrane & Thrane a satellite producing company, was a tough one for me.
Having excersised heavily all winter I ended up with backpain a few weeks before the expedition took of for Nepal. I was advised that when I got there and relaxed from my job and only had the climb to worry about, I would be fine in a short time.
But unfortunately that was not the case as I ended up with a discus proplaps and loss of feeling in the back of my left leg and in the foot. Anaway I made it to more than 8000 meter without oxygen, but didn't have the strength and wasn't acclimatised to go to the summit. That was done by two other climbers from our team who made it to the summit and back to camp 4 in only 11 hours.
