Karakoram, one of the most remote regions in the world

The Baltoro trek up the almost 70 km. long Baltoro glacier ascends from Askole in 3 days before walking onto the glacier and then continueing 4 more days before arriving at Concordia. Concordia is the big plaza where the Goodwin Austeen Glacier, the Gasherbrum Glacier and other minor glaciers meet to form the huge Baltoro. This trek is often named "the worlds hardest trek."

Having done it twice I'm convinced it must at least be one of the hardest, squeezing the last of our power if you are not fit for the trip and making you super fit if you were ready to meet the physical challenge. I was lucky - or well enough prepared - to summit on 8000 meter peaks both times I went into the inner Karakoram area. Both expeditions were extremely rewarding and I brought back much experience and a lot of nice phtographs and video.

This lecture typically is around 2 hours in duration and the price depends on the number of participants:

• 0-50 participants - 1400€
• 50-100 participants - 1600€
• 100-250 participants - 1800£
• >250 participants - 2000€
